Ligia Silva made as difficult as possible for the Korean Yun Yu Mi to win, but in the end she lost 4-0, partials 11/5, 11/6, 13/11 and 11/9. To the Brazilian player the only thing left is the doubles' tournament alongside Mariany Nonaka.

The Brazilian wasn't very good during the first couple of sets, allowing Mi to open 2-0. From the third set onwards, Ligia toughen the match and had the opportunity of closing the following two sets.

"I'm happy even though I lost. I think I played well. The thing I need the most to improve is to play against more foreign table tennis players", she said.

She believes that the more experience she has facing players from other nationalities, the better she will do whenever playing against opponents who are well positioned in the world ranking.

"I don't think I'm too far from them. I want to be good for the Pan-American games. This is my main goal", she concluded.
