The Brazilian Open has finished for Thiago Monteiro e Hugo Hoyama. Both lost the semifinals to the Korean double, Kim Tae Hoon and Lee Jun Kwon, 4-0 (11/7, 11/6, 12/10 and 11/6). The Asian pair will face next Portugal's Tiago Apolonia and joao Monteiro, whose victory was over the Japanese duo Kaii Yoshida and Kenichi Takakiwas, 4-2 (11-8, 11-13, 5-11, 11-5, 11-9 and 11-4). The final match is scheduled to start at 14h45 this Sunday.

From the start, Kim and Lee made it almost impossible for the Brazilian players to attack, which ended up causing some crucial mistakes from Monteiro and Hugo.

"It was a difficult match, but if compared to the previous matches we had against Korean players, this was even tougher to win. Our main difficulty was playing against their compact style of play, the exchange of balls were longs and that was the killer", said Hugo. "Nevertheless, I'm happy with the bronze medal. It was an important result for us".

Thiago, on the other hand, analyzed his performance differently: "I was out of it, not only during this match, but throughout the entire competition. The thing is there is no time to improve. I'm a little disappointed. I knew it would be difficult, but I wanted to win a match at "home". It's no big deal, it is a great result", he said.

Thiago is flying next to Santiago, to play the Chilean Open - it will be his seventh tournament in a row this season.
