INTERCOLONIAL 2007: A SUCCESS

To 57th edition of the Intercolonial Championship of Table tennis, accomplished in São Bernardo do Campo was a great success. Counting with more than seven hundred enrolled the championship gathered athletes between 6 and 93 years. 

 

The president of the Brazilian Confederation of Table tennis, Alaor Gaspar Pinto Azevedo attended the event and it emphasized the importance of the Japanese colony in the development of the Brazilian table tennis. The president still spoke about the idea of CBTM to participate actively in the feasts of the centennial of the Japanese immigration, that it will happen in 2008. 

 

Inside of the table, the party belonged to Hugo Hanashiro, that took the title for the second time (the first out in 2001) when winning Reinaldo Yamamoto in the end of the special category. In the general feminine, Carina Murashige repeated the result of the year passed when winning Claudia Ikeizumi in the final. 

 

"Intercolonial served so that I saw that I continue in a good phase. I will continue the trainings to get to get better still plus", said the table-tennis player that also expired again in the mixed couples and for teams. 

 

In feminine juniors Jessica Yamada was the champion with Gabriela Kock in second. In masculine Ricardo Kojima it won Lucas Tatani in the end and it took the title. In the infantile, Karin Fukushima took the best on Kim Inokuchi.
