MUNDIAL DE VETERANOS CONTINUA RECEBENDO MUITOS ELOGIOS

Agora que o Campeonato Mundial de Veteranos 2008 está definitivamente terminado, e os participantes regressaram para seus países de origem, e que você e seus assistentes voltaram à rotina diária, gostaria de aproveitar esta oportunidade para lhe agradecer por ter apresentado à comunidade de Veteranos do Tênis de Mesa um pouco do sabor do Brasil, juntamente com sua hospitalidade amigável e as condições oferecidas por um torneio muito bem organizado.

Tratava-se de uma viagem que aconteceria -- uma vez-na-vida -- para aqueles que participaram. Quando eles olharem para trás, certamente o farão com prazer. Estou muito consciente de que as notícias que correram o mundo sobre os problemas com a criminalidade e a Dengue criaram certa expectativa, mas você mostrou experiência e força para nos apresentar um evento de primeira classe.

Agradeço-lhe presidente Alaor e aproveito para felicitar sinceramente a você e toda sua equipe de assistentes. Envie calorosas saudações a Vera, Edi, Carlos e todos os seus assistentes que se entregaram de coração, com a esperança de que todos aproveitem para descansar um pouco antes de embarcar em seu próximo evento.

Now that that World Veterans Championships 2008 are finally closed, the participants have returned to their native countries and you and your assistants have settled into your daily routine, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for presenting to the Table Tennis Veteran Community throughout the World a taste of Brazil, its friendly hospitality coupled with top playing conditions and a well-runtournament. 

It was a -- once-in-a-lifetime -- trip for those who participated, one which they will look back upon with pleasure. I am only too aware that the two T.V. programmes shown throughout the world, first on the criminal aspect and then the Dengue in Rio certainly did not help to meet both of our expectations regarding a high entry.
Nevertheless, you gathered all your experience and strength to present a first class event.   I thank you for this Alaor and congratulate you and your assistants wholeheartedly.

I send warm greetings to Vera, Edi, Carlos and all your assistants, with the hope that you have all been able to take a short rest before embarking on your next event.
