In 2008, the Brazilian city of
Britta Gerlach is the President of TMG, the company which is responsible for the marketing affairs of the German Table Tennis Association, whilst Peter Rengel is the Director of Bremen Convention Centre.
Both were heavily involted in marketing and organizing the Liebherr World Team Table Tennis Championships and the World Veteran Championships held at the Bremen Convention Centre in 2006; thus the knowlodge they gained is extensive and most valuable for organizers of big events.
They visited Riocentro, a convention centre where big events can be staged and they gave over forty hours of demonstrations and exemples how to organize major competitions.
